Joe and Mishelle Hamilton are new to La Harpe. Joe has lived here for about three years and Mishelle has lived here a little over two years.
The two met at Southeastern Community College and have been married for two years.
The couple decided to move to La Harpe from Burlington, Iowa because of La Harpe's location.
Joe works at the Memorial Hospital in Carthage in information technology and Mishelle works at the Burlington Courthouse in information technology as well. They decided La Harpe was kind of a half way point between the two jobs.
The couple is very happy they had decided to make this small town their home, and were pleased to say that the people have La Harpe have been very warm and friendly to them.
Joe and Mishelle have also had a lot of excitement these past few months with the birth of their first child, Makayla, who was born on July 23rd.
In his spare time, Joe enjoys bowling in his weekly league games and loves watching the St. Louis Cardinals.
Mishelle likes to scrapbook when she has time. She also enjoys dressing up her new baby girl and taking pictures of her.
