Henderson County Democrats enjoyed a good turn-out for fried fish, chicken and politics this past Sunday. The event, held annually at Delabar State Park north of Oquawka, served 300 plates of food, according to Diane Brown of Carman. Some of the special guests included State Senator John Sullivan, his wife Joan, their sons Luke and Mark of Rushville, and Attorney Tom O'Neal of Augusta, and Judge Lance Peterson of Morris, running for Appellate Court Justice in 21 counties. Congressman Lane Evans had been at the fry early to greet those who came through the line.
