La Harpe City Sets Trick or Treat Night

Monday 5 pm to 7 pm

At the October 10th meeting, Irish, Lovell, Helmers, Bennett, Burford, Carpenter, Neff, Stevens, and Brown answered roll call and Irish was excused.

Also, present were Justin Livingston, Wayne Humphrey, Roger Hughes, and Richard Rasmussen.

The city's trick or treat night was set for Monday, October 31 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Residents who would like to participate should leave their porch lights on for the trick or treaters.

Alderman Lovell gave a brief talk about information received at the Illinois Municipal League Convention recently attended by Brown, Neff, Lovell, and Stevens in September. The convention was very informative and well attended by other state officials.

The repairs to the back of the historical society building have been completed.

Neff stated the levy should be ready for the council's approval at the next meeting.

The motion was made and seconded to accept resolution 2005-D for a parade permit to be held on Saturday, November 26 at 3:00 p.m. Motion carried.

The council congratulates the 8th grade boys on the honor they recently received as 8th grade State Champions.

The next scheduled meeting was held at the city hall on Monday, October 24.
