Those at the regular November meeting of the La Harpe City Council were Irish, Lovell, Helmers, Bennett, Burford, Carpenter, Neff, Stevens, and Brown.
Also present were Justin Livingston, Danny Gillett, Wayne Humphrey, Roger Hughes, Richard Rasmussen, and a representative from Carl Sandburg College and a representative from Derby Tech.
Representatives from Carl Sandburg College and Derby Tech were present for questions the council may have in regards to a tower being used to allow the area schools to access educational internet programs for learning. A committee meeting will be held to discuss answers and answers will be reported back to the council.
On behalf of the historical society, Dan Gillett thanked the council for their monetary support in repairs done to the back wall of the historical society. He also mentioned the possibility of obtaining grant money that may be available to the city for various projects.
The board renewed the liquor license for Casey's General Store.
Adjournment came at 8:12 p.m. The next meeting will be held at the city hall on Monday, November 28 at 7:00 p.m.
