Bob Cratsenberg, owner, opened Nothin' New in La Harpe in 1995 at 110 West Main. His store carries a wide variety of used furniture, and appliances as well as a lot of "stuff'. No matter what you are looking for, Bob probably has it, whether it is dishes or tools or those hard to find items that they just don't make anymore. You can't be in a hurry to shop here because you are sure to miss something. Bob is not new in La Harpe. He was born, raised, and went to school here. He has worked in, managed or owned a business here since he was a junior in high school. He started in the Kroger grocery store, Towler grocery store, Brown Lynch Scott, and the Bargain Barn. He and his wife, Jean, live near La Harpe. They have three grown daughters, Jan, Kathy, and Becky; and 4 grandchildren. He said he carries very few antiques because there are several dealers around the area. There are not many used furniture and appliance stores so the demand is high. He is open Monday through Saturday, but his hours may vary because he goes to auctions to buy for his store. |
