La Harpe City Council

La Harpe-- The La Harpe City Police reported on problems with the riding of ATV's within the city limits. The public will be notified of the changes being made in this area.

Irish made a motion that the council donate $500.00 to the summer car show. Lovell seconded the motion. Motion carried.

Jimmy and Carol from Jackson Disposal were present at the meeting to speak to the council about what services they can offer to the city for waste a removal package.

The third party to speak to the council will be present at the next meeting on Monday, May 23. After listening to their proposals, the council will make a decision of what will best serve the residents.

W. L. Miller Construction received the bid for the upcoming project.

A budget meeting is scheduled for May 18 at 7:00 p.m.

The meeting was adjourned at 8:15 p.m.

Present at the regular monthly meeting were Irish, Lovell, Bennett, Carpenter, Brown, Neff, Stevens, Justin Livingston, Wayne Humphrey, Richard Rasmussen, Roger Hughes, Tim Graves, Larry Finch, and Jimmy and Carol Jackson of Jackson Disposal Service. Absent were Helmers and Burford.
