We Will Miss Your Fastbreak Girls

In the small town of Oquawka there is a small gas station on the corner. In this gas station you could find some of the kindest, sweetest, funniest, and overall helpful employees. These ladies love people and had many regular customers that visited them every day.

That was until recently. As of this week the Oquawka Fast Break lost six of their most valuable employees. They lost their manager who has been there 20 years, an assistant manager and another employee of over 14 years, and three employees of 5 years. Why are these employees gone? Well it's because they have had enough of Reif Oil Company continuous lack of respect for their employees and unworkable environment.

Like many companies today, Reif Oil Company does not like having full time employees because they not only get benefits but those who are full time have also been there for over 14 years which equals a higher pay. They would rather hire part time help and give them minimum wage and no benefits. They also want them to work miracles with the resources they are limited to.

If you have ever been in the Oquawka Fast Break and had the pleasure of meeting one of these unbelievable ladies you would understand why their leaving is so upsetting.

Many of the customers that pass through this gas station only stop there to see their favorite Fast Break girl. They are fun, witty, kind, and a bundle of joy to be around. They will be greatly missed. I feel that Reif Oil will soon realize this when they lose some of their loyal customers.

Everyone should let the Reif Oil Company know this by calling, writing, emailing, or just stopping by their office, located in Burlington, Iowa, and let them know that they just lost the best employees they have ever had.

We will miss you Brenda, Paula, Debbie, Libby, Lois, and Pammie. You will all be greatly missed.
