Meet your teacher, Marty Harig, a jack of many trades at Southern schools. Marty is in his first year of teaching and coaching at Southern.
He teaches computer and business math at the high school and keyboarding at the middle school.
He is assistant football coach, head basketball coach at the middle school, and head track coach.
Before teaching at Southern he worked with detention and in-school suspended children in Michigan schools.
Mr. Harig graduated from high school in Grand Rapids, Michigan and graduated college from West Michigan State. He now lives in Macomb. Helping others is what he enjoys most about teaching.
During his time away from teaching and coaching he enjoys playing basketball, working out and spending time on the computer.
