Meet Your Teacher Lisa Schaley. Lisa grew up in rural Carman as the daughter of a large farming family, Everett Johnson and the late Louise Johnson.
She is married to Brendan Schaley, an Illinois State Trooper, and are parents of two children, Jena in the third grade, and Megan who is 2-years-old. They live in rural Media.
Lisa graduated from Southern High School and continued her education at Southeastern Community College in Burlington, IA where she received her Associates degree.
She received her Bachelors degree from Monmouth College and her Masters degree from Western Illinois University, Macomb.
Mrs. Schaley is a fourth grade teacher at Southern and says she loves the expression on a child's face when they finally "get it."
She enjoys taking care of her family's two calves and attending Jena's softball and basketball games.
