Clover Tire Shop has been in La Harpe since 1978. Steve Reed, owner, said he has worked there since Arlin Clover opened in the old Ford garage building and then moved to the corner grocery building both on east Main Street.
In the spring of 1994 they moved to the present location at 2170 East State Highway 94, right at the junction of 9 and 94. Steve and his wife, Debbie, took over the business on May 1, 2003.
Clover Tire offers on Farm Service, tires, alignments, batteries, shocks, struts and brakes, oil lube and filters. Their hours are Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Saturdays are from 7:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon. They hire 2 full time employees.
Steve and Debbie said they appreciate their loyal customers. Faithful customers come from not only the local area, but from Burlington, Iowa, Fort Madison, Iowa, Macomb and from surrounding area.
