The La Harpe Community Unit School District meeting was held on Monday, July 11 at 7:00 p.m.
Items discussed were an audit scheduled for September 1st and discussion of various bills.
Elaine Long, from Carl Sandburg College, proposed a new internet service provider. Coordinator of the project is Jim Rich of Galesburg. The committee will investigate expenses before implementing.
Figures they do have include: will pay 40% of $2600 for service. The $2000 receiving tower is already factored into the figure. A meeting is planned for Tuesday, August 12 at 9 a.m. at Carl Sandburg to find out further information.
Tree to be removed in front of school. Need to further discuss the cost and best time to remove it.
The summer maintenance project for lighting upgrade is reported as going well.

Jerry Schmitz-Assistant coach.
Mini-camp was held Monday. Still no interest in 7th and 8th grade girls basketball coach as well as 5th and 6th boys basketball coach.
Book study group being held at Martha Bartlett's for the teachers- "52 Ways to Make a Difference."
Athletic fee is change to $30, also for admittance to games-Jr. High $3 and High School, $4, $3, and $2.
The West Prairie Board on consolidation, convergence and tax breaks, received information on all three. They will set a meeting to discuss all the information and then get together with the La Harpe Board to discuss it.
This past Saturday was the first time they have been able to see a spreadsheet on all the rough figures. They just wanted La Harpe to know they have preliminary information, but nothing concrete to report.
There has been a meeting on the convergence on July 7th about La Harpe, Carthage, and Dallas City schools.
There will be another meeting on the new information scheduled for July 21st, to be held in Dallas City.
Approval was given for the August 6th, Booster Club 3 on 3 to be at the La Harpe gym.
