Quill Reporter, Alex Lovell Alex Lovell, was born in Macomb on February 1, 1979. He attended grade school and high school in La Harpe, graduating in 1997. After high school, Alex enlisted in the Navy for six years. His first year was spent in Chicago, and second in Virginia. His last four years of the Navy he spent in San Diego, CA, where he met his wife, Laurie. Alex and Laurie have been married for three years and are expecting their first child near the end of November. Alex and his wife moved to La Harpe during Thanksgiving of 2003. He is currently working at Casey's and attending Western Illinois University, majoring in Law Enforcement. He will be pursuing an internship with the Illinois State Police and will graduate in May of 2006. If Alex has any free time he enjoys working on glass etchings. An interesting fact you may not know about Alex is that he has traveled to 11 different countries during his tenure in the United States Navy. Also, he and Laurie just found out they are expecting a baby girl! |
