Those answering roll call were Irish, Lovell, Helmers, Bennett, Carpenter, Neff, Stevens, and Brown. Burford was excused. Also, present were: Dave Schaab from Waste Management, and Jimmy Jackson of Jaskson Disposal Inc.
Three sealed bids turned in for the new contract for waste removal were opened and reviewed by the council. The council discussed the bids and will give them to the city attorney to review. A committee meeting will make a decision before the current contract expires.
The audit just completed went well. The final audit will be presented for approval on the second meeting in July.
A motion was made to accept the Budget Ordinance 2005-2.
The meeting adjourned at 8:30 p.m. The next regular meeting will be held on July 11 at 7:00 p.m. at the La harpe City Hall.
