Monday evening, February 14th, Jake Snelson officially resigned his position as La Harpe Chief of Police after many faithful years of service. Snelson said he was stepping down due to health problems and future retirement plans. He still will work for the City of La Harpe as a patrolman, until his retirement. Above, Jake received a plaque of appreciation from City Mayor Kenny Brown (left). At far right is Justin Livingston who has moved up as the new La Harpe City Police Chief.
