Meet one of Union's first grade teachers, Ms. Dixie Messner. She has been teaching for 27 years. She went to high school in Gaylord, Minnesota and graduated from college at the University of Minnesota at Morris.
Ms. Messner has one daughter, Mayone who she adopted as an infant. Mayone is now 12 years old.
Ms. Messner enjoys staying active in the Apostolic Church of Christ in Burlington, Iowa and loves to read when she can.
She enjoys the challenges that come each day when teaching and the progress they make during the year, especially in reading.
She is looking forward to the challenges of the consolidation next year.
