During the regular meeting of the Village of Biggsville last Wednesday, February 2, board member Daryl Forbes moved after a short executive closed session, that the Village of Biggsville approach the school district and inquire what their plans are for the ball park located in Biggsville, seconded by Louise Webb. All approved the motion and Board President Janet Monville will contact the school district about their concern.
Present at the meeting was President Janet Monville presiding. trustees - Dale Allenbaugh, Marilyn Evans, Daryl Forbes, Bob Onion and Louise Webb; treasurer - Gloria Jones (7:22 p.m.); clerk - Frank Jones;
Absent was trustee Gloria Minard; Visitors were Bill Leonard, Attorney Ronald Stombaugh, Don Burns of Rural Development, Heather Louck, and Alan Derbyshire of Derby Tech Computer Works.
Don Burns of Rural Development explained what is required for the Water Quality Project.
Ordinances:
Don Burns remarked the valve replacement project will probably need to be an add on loan.
President Janet Monville reported the tenant is still living in the trailer where the well will be located.
7:30 p.m., Dale Allenbaugh moved the board close the regular session and go into executive session, seconded by Louise Webb. Roll was called and all present voted yes. (It was designated in the minutes the purpose for this.)
At 7:38 p.m., Louise Webb moved the board close executive session and return to regular session, seconded by Marilyn Evans. All approved.
Alan Derbyshire of Derby Tech Computer Works asked the village if his company could install an antenna on the water tower. This antenna will be used for high-speed internet service for their customers.
There would be no cost to the village for this antenna. The village will investigate the electricity source to the top of the water tower and get back with Mr. Derbyshire on the village's decision. Terms will need to be negotiated if the village is in favor of this antenna. In other business:
President Monville asked if the village will have a Trash Day this year. Daryl Forbes will contact Lavine to see if June 4th is available and what they will charge.
The village board discussed Christmas decorations. Orders for reduced prices need to be made during February. Marilyn Evans will check into the village needs.
President Monville received information for village insurance coverage from Risk Management Association and will call for more details.
President Monville read the small contracts agreement with McClure Engineering for the period January 1, through December 31, 2005 for the rates they charge for services required. Allenbaugh moved the village accept the contract agreement with McClure Engineering, seconded by Daryl Forbes. All voted yes.
President Monville presented a bill from Boyer Plumbing & Heating for restroom repairs in the Community Building with the break down of labor and material as requested by the Board.
Clerk Jones reported on the election applications received.

President Monville hasn't heard on the housing grants.
