Wesley A. Long announced his candidacy for the Democratic Party nomination for Sheriff of Henderson County this week.
"Wes" is the third democrat to make known his bid for sheriff which includes the present Sheriff Mark Lumbeck, serving his first term of office.
Last week, Brian Grisham of Lomax, Lomax Fire Chief and a truck driver, announced his candidacy for Henderson County Sheriff.
Wes Long lives in Stronghurst and says, "I feel that I can use my 23 years of law enforcement experience, my state and federal training and my college education to bring professionalism and strong leadership back to the Henderson County Sheriff's office.
