Grisham To Run For Henderson County Sheriff In Primary
Lifelong Henderson County resident Brian Grisham was the third Democrat to throw his hat into the ring for the party's nomination to run for Sheriff, when he filed his paperwork Friday, December 16.
Grisham will attempt to become the Democratic Party's nominee for Henderson County Sheriff during the primary election next spring.
Since graduating from Dallas City High School in 1987, Grisham held a pair of elected positions in the county. He was a Lomax Village Trustee for four years and the Lomax Township Road Commissioner for eight years.
Currently, Grisham works for Wilkerson Transport performing local hauls throughout a four state area.
Grisham has also been an active volunteer in the county, having served as a volunteer fireman for the Lomax Fire Department since 1987. He is currently serving as Fire Chief for the Department, a position he has held for the past four years.
Personally, Grisham and his wife, Suzanne, live in Lomax and have two children, Samantha, 15, and Joshua, 13.
Though the incumbent is a Democrat, Grisham feels it may be time for a change.
"There are some concerns I have with the administration we have now," Grisham said. "I feel there is a lack of leadership."
