Firemen from La Harpe, Terre Haute, and Fountain Green served 103 guests from the La Harpe area and 50 carry out dinners on Saturday, December 10, 2005, for the Annual Community Christmas Dinner.
A delicious meal of turkey, mashed potatoes, dressing, green beans, corn, pumpkin cake dessert, and beverages were served and prepared by the firemen.
The dinner was held in the La Harpe Christian Church Fellowship Hall from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
After the meal folks lingered to visit with friends and neighbors. It was the true spirit of giving that shone through and the La Harpe community greatly appreciates the wonderful dinner and our La Harpe Fire Protection District for being there for us all year around.
