The Hancock-Henderson Quill, Inc.

Mr. John Jones of Macomb, representing The Praireland Barbershop Chorus, presented $500 to West Central Vocal Director Joanne Hilligoss during Sunday's jr. high/high school Christmas concert. The gift is to "keep the kids singing", Jones said. The barbershop chorus has members from McDonough, Fulton, Hancock, and Henderson counties and yearly benefits a school. Last year they paid Avon school's entry fees for contest after learning they were unable to go. Their talented singers ended winning the sweepstakes award.
Jones is a former Union K-HS vocal teacher. This area has been extremely good to support his barbershop chorus of 22 singers. Their big fundraiser is singing valentines which they delivered to 42 persons last year. For calls next year, call John 309-836-5314.
