Our hats off to Henderson County Relay-For-Life Chairperson Charlotte Shafer and her Relay for Life Committee. Thus far, $32,148.09 has been raised, way past the goal set for this year of $24,624.65: and, money is still coming in! In 2004, the Henderson County Relay raised $23,800.00.
Even with the heat this year, over 400 people attended the Relay for Life representing a caring people in Henderson County.
The long hours and hard work of a great committee plus hard work of the teams brought awesome rewards for their community.
Dollars raised will bring services to your local community, help fund research for new treatments and medication, help educate everyone on screenings and early detection and let our voices be heard on the state and federal Levels with advocacy.
