10th Illinois Infantry-Civil War: The regiment moved with Pope's army to the siege of Corinth and was in all the engagements he had with the enemy.
After the evacuation of Corinth, the army pursued the enemy to Booneville. Through June and a part of July it laid in camp at Big Springs and then moved to Tuscumbia.
Under General Palmer it continued on to Nashville where it remained during the blockade caused by Bragg's invasion existing on half and then quarter rations and at last on something less all the while building Fort Negley until relieved by Rosecrans.
