Meet Your Neighbor Mary Bielser. Mary lives at Gladstone with her husband, Michael and their three children, son, Corey, 10, and daughters, Emily, 11, and Brittany, 15.
Michael and Mary met while serving in the United States Air Force at an air base in Ramstien, Germany.
The couple worked together on a mechanical team there.
Mary works as substitute postmaster at the Gladstone post office and also as the Gladstone village water clerk.
Michael works as an operator at Lock and Dam 17 near New Boston.
Michael is a 1987 graduate of Union High School. Mary graduated from LaSalle-Peru Township High School in 1987.
The Bielsers are members of the Open Bible Church in Burlington, Iowa.
Mary's two jobs leave her little time for hobbies or outside interests, but when she does have a little time to spare, she says, "I stay busy with the kids."
