Saturday evening of Summerfest started with the FFA Labor Auction at 6:30 p.m.
A total of 46 FFA students comprised of Freshman, Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors were auctioned, one at a time, for 5 hours of honest labor, such as mowing lawns, child care, helping with animals, cleaning house, etch.
The labor is to be performed within 1 year of sale at at time agreeable to both parties.
The auctioneer was David Hobby of Hobby Auction Service and helping David to spot bidders was Paul Mealiff, FFA Advisor.
The proceeds will be used for chapter activities and La Harpe Fire Department.
Pictured is Freshman Kyle Magee, auctioned for his talents in gardening, painting, child care, cleaning house or general labor.
