Meet Your Neighbor

by Melanie Sharpe-Lessen, Quill Reporter

Bob and Nancy Lionberger met on a blind date in 1978 and were married four months later. It must have been a really good date because they have been together ever since.

Nancy grew up in Dallas City and the Carthage area and Bob grew up in Colusa.

Bob owns CCS Computers on 105 North Rt. 94, along with his brothers, Jesse and Ed. They started their business in Dallas City in 1975 and moved to their current La Harpe location in 1990.

For years, Nancy worked for the Postal Service, as Postmaster, but now she is working part time at CCS. She is just as busy as she was when she was working, but now she is able to babysit her grandchildren and help out her family.

Bob's business specializes in the educational market, but also offers complete computer systems, printers, software, network installation, and service work of all types.

Bob and Nancy's favorite hobby is travel. They have the opportunity to travel all over the country showing off their car as well as Helen Gibb's cars at various car shows. Bob and Nancy have a 2002 35th Anniversary Camaro. Helen's cars are a 1968 Nova and a 2002 Super Camaro. They do these shows to keep Fred Gibb's name alive and to promote La Harpe's car show. The car show is a year round job for Bob.

Both Bob and Nancy love living in the La Harpe community and the La Harpe Christian Church is a very important part of their lives.
