Vicki Burford, owner of Hair Affair, graduated from Macomb School of Beauty Culture in Macomb. She worked for 6 years in other beauty shops before she opened her own shop in her home in 1979.
She offers hair cuts, perms, color, shampoo and sets. Her shop is open Tuesday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Saturday, 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon, and closed on Monday. Hair Affair is located at 206 Orchard Drive, La Harpe.
Vicki enjoys working with people and feels the clients she has had for years are like extended family. She feels having her shop in her home is an advantage because she can set her own hours, and can be there when her children are home.
Vicki was active in boy scouts and girl scouts when her children were involved, and was in the Fireman Auxiliary for a while.
Presently she has been on the city council for almost 8 years and is active in her church.
She has two children, Bryan and Brianne.
