TRASH PICK-UP DAY TO BE MOVED; TRICK & TRICK NIGHT SET

September 27, 2004 meeting

The La Harpe City Council meeting was called to order at 7:01 p.m. Monday, September 27 with Irish, Lovell, Helmers, Burford, Carpenter, Stevens, and Mayor Ken Brown present. Absent were Bennett and Neff.

Also, present were guests Danny Gillett and Justin Livingston.

A motion was made to approve a payment due to McClure Engineering in the amount of $2,500.00 for annual follow up fees at the water plant. Motion carried.

Thank yous were sent by Cheryl Lefler of WIRC to the city and to Danny Gillett in appreciation for the hospitality shown to the Americorp workers while working in town during the summer.

Mayor Brown presented a plaque to Danny Gillett in recognition of all he has done for the community during the past year. Gillett puts many hours into the community with the Historical Society, American Legion, as well as with the Americorp workers here during the summer.

Waste Management requested the weekly trash pick up dates be moved from Mondays to Fridays. The motion was made and passed to change the date to Fridays after the annual fall cleanup date of Monday, October 11.

The annual trick or treat night is scheduled for Saturday night, October 30 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

The next regular scheduled meeting will be held on Monday, October 11 at 7:00 p.m. at the city hall.

Motion was made and seconded to adjourn the council meeting at 7:50 p.m.
