The Hancock-Henderson Quill, Inc.
Discusses Grant, Sets Trick or Treat Night
LaHarpe City Council called their September 14th meeting to order at 7:05 p.m. at the La Harpe City Hall.
Gary Ziegler of WIRC and Eric Moe attended the meeting to discuss the possibility of applying for water main grant money. By obtaining the grant, the city would be responsible for 25% of the cost, and the remaining 75% would be paid by grants. The CDAP grant is for low to moderate income residential areas. A new survey will need to be conducted in the spring to qualify, Ziegler said.
The oiling and chipping of the streets were reported to be complete and the process went well.
Fall Citywide Cleanup date has been set for Monday, October 11. Notices have been placed around town and in the local newspaper.
The homecoming parade resolution was approved to be held October 1st at 1:30 p.m.
Trick or treat night is scheduled for Friday night, October 30 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. The meeting was adjourned at 8:30 p.m.
