Meet your neighbor Ruby Steck born in Carman, and a graduate of Stronghurst High School.
Ruby then continued her education at Western Illinois University receiving a BS degree in Elementary Education. She has taught 37 years in Illinois and Burlington, Iowa.
Ruby is a 4-H leader and a member of Carman Methodist Church.
She taught Bible School, Sunday School, and Carman Kids Club.
Ruby is also active in the Retired Teachers Association.
She enjoys traveling, sewing, and playing cards.
