Meet Your Neighbor and new teacher, Jena Painter.
Jena is a new fourth grade teacher at LaHarpe Elementary School this year. She was born at Burlington Medical Center in Iowa on December 12, 1979.
She graduated from LaHarpe High School and Western Illinois University with a Bachelor of Science in Education degree. She lives in the LaHarpe-Terre Haute Area.
Jena worked in the West Prairie District with Reading Improvement last year and has done substitute teaching in several districts.
Jena's parents are Robert and Jennifer Painter. She has two sisters Michelle Painter and Dawn (Chane) Combites and a niece, Taylor Combites.
Her grandparents are Helen and John Bruyn and Lois and the late Lowell Painter.
She enjoys being with friends and family. She likes to watch movies and listen to music. She also likes to read and play sports in her free time.
