What a terrible night for football; rainy and cold. This is not the type of weather we need when you throw as much as we do. Friday night was almost impossible at times. The rain was blowing sideways because of heavy winds.
But this was no excuse, Rushville was a better team than we were. As big as they were, a muddy field wasn't going to bother them.
Because of the weather, it was impossible to keep stats (thanks for trying, Bryan Heap.) The final score was 32-6. Well, this week is homecoming for us. Please come out Friday night and support these young men. If you want to see one of the best teams in the state, year in and year out, Carthage is that team. They are at the top of the conference 6-0. Come out and give S/U your support, and help them celebrate Homecoming.
There will also be a patriotic salute to our National Guard members leaving for Iraq as they are guests of the game for the evening.
