Meet Your Neighbor Christene Carle, born in Fountain Green Township. She attended schools in La Harpe, Disco and Burnside, and attended high school in Fountain Green.
Christene was married to Harvey Carle for 46 years when he passed away in 1992. They had seven children. One son lives in Oregon and another in Idaho - all the rest of the children live around this area.
She has 16 grandchildren and over 20 great-grandchildren.
Christene loves to sew, do embroidery, crochet, and read. She likes to cook for family and friends and is busy doing this almost every day. The rumor is, and I know it's true, she is an excellent pie baker!
Christene says she enjoys people, her family, and her church.
She has lived in Webster for 33 years. For the last 4 years, she has had a fall craft show displaying all her crafts, canning, and her delicious pies.
