Southern's Alyssa Griepentrog

Southern Junior High 8th Graders graduation exercises were held Thursday evening, May 20th at the Southern High School in Stronghurst.
Awarded Top Scholar was Alyssa Griepentrog with a 4.0 grade point average. She is the daughter of Tony and Kay Griepentrog of Stronghurst.
Honored for Good Citizenship was Jordan Brueck, daughter of Gary and Debbie Brueck of Stronghurst, and Alyssa Griepentrog. The award was given by Gene Heap Commander of the American Legion Post 765, who sponsored the awards.
Recognized as the 5 top scholars was Alyssa Griepentrog, Sarah Heller, Rachele Jack, Luke Kane, and Emily Smith.
The 8th Grade Chorus performed "From This Moment, I Believe" and the band performed "Pachelbel's Canon directed by Mrs. Joann Hilligoss.
