Successful Fund Raising - "It's A Good Thing"

Sixty golfers enjoyed beautiful weather last Saturday at Hend-Co-Hills Golf Club while supporting a fund-raising golf tournament for the Henderson County Rural Health Center, Inc. (HCRHC). Golfers tee'd off at 9 a.m., played 18 holes and ended the day around 2 p.m. with a pork chop barbeque lunch.

The following entities generously sponsored holes for the tournament: Sullivan-Schein Dental Supply, Bank of Stronghurst, Great River Medical Center, Midwest Bank of Western Illinois, Illinois Primary Health Care Association, Winegard Company, Twomey Company, Stronghurst Boosters Club, Raritan State Bank, Community Medical Center, and Purdum, Gray, Ingledue, Inc. The staff of the Henderson Rural Health Center sponsored Hole #1 in Memory of Dr. Paul Good for his 18 years of service to HCRHC.

This event was a huge success thanks to the hole sponsors and the efforts of the HCRHC staff who organized the tournament and banquet, donated food and supplies, collected raffle gifts, and sold over 1,200 raffle tickets. 110 gift items were generously donated from local businesses and individuals. HCRHC Dental Assistant, Cathy Parsons, served as tournament coordinator. Good Job Cathy and Family!
