Meet Your Neighbor Max Quivey, born in the La Harpe Hospital.
Max has lived his entire life in La Harpe where he attended school and graduated from La Harpe High.
He attended WIU for 2 years majoring in pre-forestry.
Since school, he worked in Hardware Retail for 18 years, but since October of 1985 he has worked at his current employment, The La Harpe Davier Health Care Center. Max is Supervisor of Maintenance, Laundry, and Housekeeping.
He has also been a fireman for 28 years and La Harpe Fire Department's secretary-treasurer for around 20 years. Since 1983 he has been an EMT.
Max enjoys fishing, hunting, gardening and doing yard work. He and his wife, Rebecca, were married in 1998.
Max has one son and three step children, and two grandchildren.
He enjoys working with the public and has great pride in being able to help the residents at the La Harpe Davier Health Care Center.
His EMT training has been an asset in coming to the aid of the residents and assisting in any way that he can. He helps in transporting the residents as well.
