The Plaindeal" was first published in Oquawka and them moved to Biggsville in 1867 and resurrected as the The Henderson Plaindealer. with Ira D. Chamberlin as editor and publisher.
It was soon turned over to Judson Graves with the stockholders agreeing to pay him $1,000 per year. However, it was not making money so they turned the whole thing over to Mr. Graves and said he should run it for his pay.
This continued for a few months and then he moved it to Young America (Kirkwood) and thence to Galesburg.
In 1875")Biggsville Clipper" appeared on the scene under the management of M.M. Rowley and was still being published in 1882.
