Meet Your Neighbor Norma Renshaw of La Crosse. Norma was born in Blandinsville to Madelene and Norman McKeown. She has three brothers, Bill of Blandinsville, Don of Alexis, and Charles of Pekin.
Her father died when she was six years old. She graduated from Blandinsville High School. Norma started working at First National Bank when she was a senior and worked there off and on for 29 years.
She married Wendell Renshaw in 1947. At that time, Wendell was co-owner of the Main Cafe in Blandinsville. He had the restaurant for four years. Then they began farming south of Blandinsville. They then moved to the Lacrosse area, near La Harpe, to farm in 1955. He passed away in November of 1994.
Norma also worked at Aim Crop Insurance from 1991-1994. She retired in 1994. They raised two daughters, Rebecca Link and Pamela Bundy, and have five grandchildren.
She likes to read and go to her grandchildren's activities.
