Saturday, August 7th, is set for the 6th Annual Fred Gibb Memorial Car Show in La Harpe.
According to Kenny Brown and Jerry Burford, co-organizers plans are coming together that will again fill a good share of the La Harpe Park District's lawn.
Located along Illinois HWY 9 registration will be from 8:00 in the morning until 11:00 a.m..
Participant judging will be at 11:00-2:00 and the awards given at 3:30 p.m.
Three Trophies will be given per class, with thirty classes plus awards for Best GM, Best Ford. Best Mopar, Best of Show, and Longest distance.
There will also be games for kids, music, and food with No Alcohol allowed on the grounds.
2004 Dash Plaques & shirts will be given to all entries.

The car show annually features Gibb Supercars, Dick Harrell Nova, ZL-1 Camaros, and Yenko Camaros and Novas. Radio, TV, newspaper, and National Magazines will be covering the event.Ê
John Hooper, author of the well known 1969 Camaro reference book, sent fifteen of his 67-69 books and five of the 70-73 books .
Books are autographed and numbered by John, Helen Gibb and Herb Fox. John asked that all proceeds go to the Fred Gibb Show and scholarship fund.

Friday night, plan to attend the SPECIAL CRUISE WITH THE SUPERCARS August 6th. It will be at the city square in Monmouth complete with music, games and food for the family, 6 to 10 p.m.
