Meet Your Neighbor Jean Louden, born on a farm east of La Harpe.
Jean has spent all but 3 years of her life around La Harpe. She graduated from La Harpe High School, completed 3 years of schooling at Burlington School of Nursing, Burlington, Iowa, and graduated in 1943.
She and Franklin were married in 1945. He passed away in 1992. They have five children, Jim of Burlington, Iowa, Janice of Oakland, California, Beth of La Harpe, Richard of West Burlington, Iowa, and Harry of Stronghurst. Also, she has seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Jean and Franklin raised their family on a farm south of La Harpe from 1964 until they moved to town in 1989. She worked as a nurse off and on for several years.
She likes to read, visit with friends, go out to eat and be a part of her church activities. She also loves her home and loves spending time with family.
