The La Harpe Swimming Pool opened for the season Friday, June 4th. Lila McKeown has been manager since 1986. She said an average day will bring around 100-150 swimmers, but on a very hot day they have as many as 300 at the pool. They open right after school is out in the spring and stay opened until school begins again in the fall.
Assistant manager is Brianne Bennett. Life guards this summer are; Brook Quigle, Heather Harkey, Jensen Jones, Cody McKeown, Andi Hensley, Chase Decounter, Sarah Kuras. Those working in the concession stand are Mary Ann McKoon and Kelly Blythe.
There's no better place to go on a hot day than the local swimming pool! Swimming classes will be offered again this year, Lila said.
