Lomax Village June Meeting

June 7, 2004 -The President-ProTem and the Board of Trustees of the Village of Lomax met in regular session with President ProTem Todd calling the meeting to order.

Present were Leslie Roberts, Jack Todd, Ron Van Niewaal, Rebecca Moyers, and Kim Peters. Absent were James Rosenboom and Rick Kienlen.

After routine business, Peters moved to approved Technical Assistance Survey Agreement for $950.00; seconded by Moyers, roll call vote all ayes.

Peters discussed getting gravel for the entrance to the ballpark. It was agreed to go ahead with it. She also reported that the Little League had requested a light to be put on the shelter house at the ballpark at their expense.

The Board agreed to allow the light to be installed according to the Parks Committee. She also reported that the new play equipment for the park was ordered but would take 6-8 weeks to be delivered. She also had some concerns about the creek erosion at the park and trees that needed to be trimmed. There was also some discussion about the foot bridge between the Park and the Fast Break. The Board discussed the options and decided to get bids to fix the foot bridge and keep it in place.

Todd reported that he had been approached by MTC with an offer of cable and internet service for the Village. The matter was tabled until the attorney could look over the current agreement with Mediacom.

Todd reported about the projects to be done by the Americorp group. They are to be in town June 14. Among some of the projects proposed are:

*Put ceiling in shelter house with plywood and paint; paint roof, sides and trim, poles, and picnic tables. Power wash outside rec center. Paint play equipment.

Total estimated cost for materials will be around $2,000. VanNiewaal moved to direct Clerk to apply for charge account at Menards; seconded by Peters, roll call vote all ayes.
