On January 10, 2004, the J.V. Rebels played Carthage in the first round of the Bushnell/Prairie City 20th Annual Fresh-Soph Tournament.
The young Rebels were in the lead the whole game and played good basketball. They lost, however, by one point after the buzzer shot that the officials counted.

On January 14, the J.V. Rebels played Bushnell P.C. in the second round of the tournament, winning by a score of 62 to 43. Almost everyone scored. Leading the way with 16 points was Jerry Morris, followed by Nick Burg with 14. Darick Clark scored 11, Adam Corzatt 9, Calvin Covert 6, and Andy Chockley, Gerry Roark and Jordan Dillard each had 2.
At Abingdon on January 16, the J.V. Rebels outscored the Commandos 63-50.

On January 17, in the final game of the BPC Tourney, the J.V. Rebels played Macomb. In a tough, very physical game, they beat Macomb by a score of 50-41. The record now stands at nine wins and two losses.
