The Hancock-Henderson Quill, Inc.
1858 Biggsville was becoming a commercial point, but no post office was opened and residents had to go three miles south of town for the weekly distribution.
Petitions were signed and when the proper number was obtained it was submitted to officials and B.H.Martin became the first postmaster keeping the mail in the corner of his grain warehouse.
About the same time B.H.Martin was elected justice of the peace to settle local disputes.
