Scott & Kathy Boyer of rural Blandinsville are enjoying a Ribeye Steak Dinner at the Tri-County Cattlemen's annual banquet Saturday at the Monmouth VFW hall. Scott, Secretary-Treasurer, reports that 250 enjoyed the evening hosted by their 85 member club. He encourages senior high school students to apply for one of the eight $250 scholarships if they are planning on attending a two-year or four-year college as application deadline is March 1st. Seniors must be a resident of Henderson, McDonough, or Warren Counties, complete an application and write an essay, and have a recommendation from a teacher to apply. Seniors need not major in agriculture to apply but must be active in 4-H, FFA, or take agricultural related courses.
