In order for the Southern Belles to win the Bi-County Tournament Title Friday evening, they first had to defeat the Lady Wildcats of North Fulton and Yorkwood-Roseville also had to defeat West-Prairie. Both teams did what they had to do. West Prairie's defeat left three out of the four teams with a record of 2 and 1 in the tournament. The winner was then determined by a point spread which allowed the Belles to capture first place. Roseville-Yorkwood received the second place trophy. The Belles defeated North Fulton by the score of 43 to 23. Both teams started out slow with a score at halftime showing the Lady Wildcats on top by the score of 14 to 11. The Belles finally came to life in the second half scoring 32 points while North Fulton scored only 9 points. The Belles were led in scoring by Mindy Morrison with 14 points and 3 steals and Darci Renken with 13 points and 14 rebounds. Kim Waddell had 5 points, 3 assists, and 2 steals while Rachael Bundy had 2 points and 7 rebounds. The Belles' record is now 18 wins and 7 losses.
