Southern Board will draw up a new 5-year contract for current school farm tenant, Darryl Lenz. The contract will have a few minor revisions and will be presented to the board for approval at the January meeting.
The fuel bid from RIVERLAND F.S. for January-June was accepted.
Dale Buss reported 56 units of blood was received at a recent blood drive at Southern. He reported the new District #235 will be part of the Lincoln Trail Conference beginning with the 2005-2006 school year.
The Union School District offered the services of pianist Barb Gray to fill the vacancy created by the tragic accident of Denise Willets who was an accompanist for Southern's music programs and contests along with Cindy Link. Southern very much appreciates their offer.
Superintendent Tom Avery reported there has been four applications for superintendent received so far.
The board entered a brief closed session at 7:15 p.m. Following closed session the board voted to hire Sharon Barber as Elementary Special Education aide.They adjourned at 7:33 p.m.
