Chris Classen reported that the motor for the sewer lagoon has been fixed and put back into service. He also discussed a recent water pressure problem at the Grade School and on Creamery Hill Road. The problem was in a Dallas Rural Water line, and it has been taken care of by Dallas Rural Water.
The report was given at the regular Dallas City Council meeting held December 8, 2004 at 7:00 p.m. Present was Mayor Lila Gittings and commissioners Phillip Bowman, Joyce Ellison, Esther Newberry and Harold Northrup, along with Rod Clark, Raina Little and Chris Classen.
The minutes of the November 24, 2004 meeting were accepted, and this month's bills ordered paid. Raina Little informed the Council that she was attending the meeting to meet a requirement for earning one of her Girl Scout badges.
It was approved to pay the Dallas Rural Fire District $936.99 for the 2% Fire Tax that the City received from the State of Illinois. Bowman, Ellison, Newberry, Northrup and Gittings, AYE.
Harold Northrup reported that an AED training course and a CPR refresher course have tentatively been scheduled for Monday, January 3, 2005 at 6:00 p.m.
The board discussed the recycling bin and maintenance and upkeep of it. An unemployment claim that has been filed against the City was discussed.
Steven K. Vorhies, City Clerk reported that the meeting was adjourned at 7:55 p.m.
