La Harpe Lions Host Dinner for Mental Health

Lions Host Dinner for Mental Health Center

The La Harpe Lions Club held their annual dinner December 1 for the Hancock County Mental Health Center.

Personnel and clients from the center look forward to and enjoy this annual event. The Lions, along with R&D Foods, who catered part of the meal, served a delicious dinner to not only the Mental Health Center, but also to the spouses of Lion members.

While every one was enjoying their meal, "Chris and LaDonna" furnished the entertainment for the evening. After they were finished eating, some of the clients, along with a Lion member or two enjoyed dancing to the music.

And last but not least, Santa made his appearance and presents were passed out to the clients by the staff of the center.

Everyone had a wonderful time.

Chuck White, a Lion Member, said they enjoy doing this event the most because the clients from the center get so much enjoyment from it. They have been hosting this Christmas dinner for about 26 years.

The La Harpe Lions was established in 1971. They have around 40 members and this is just one of the things they do for the community.

La Harpe is proud to have such dedicated men serving our community.
