Meet Your Neighbor Karen Nudd, born in Fort Dodge, Iowa.
Karen has attended 14 different schools, one of which was in Canada. Her father worked in construction and traveled quite a bit with his company.
Karen graduated from Burlington High School and attended the Burlington School of Business with two years of accounting.
She married J.C. Nudd in 1966 and has lived near LaHarpe ever since. They have two children, Stephanie of Phoenix, Arizona and Jeff and his wife Carrie of Burlington, Iowa. Stephanie is a fourth grade Language Arts teacher and Jeff is in management at the Wal-Mart Distribution Center in Mt. Pleasant, Iowa.
Karen has been bookkeeper for the La Harpe School Unit #335 for twenty-two years. Prior to that she worked at the State Bank of LaHarpe, Larry Jones Heating and A/C, and Raid Quarries in Burlington.
She enjoys gardening and any kind of needle work, especially quilting and needlepoint. She is involved in her church and loves to travel.
