The Hancock-Henderson Quill, Inc.
Dear Editor:
Western Creek Farm is now up and running. We have been receiving pigs twice a week for several weeks now and would like to take this opportunity to show our gratification to the many people who helped us in so many ways.
First of all, we appreciate our family, friends and several neighbors who supported us along the way. It was a long road to completion and when we felt like giving up, you were there to help us stay on the right track. You helped us make a dream come true; we know we never could have done it without you.
Secondly, we would like to recognize the Hancock County Board. It appeared that you thoroughly researched our project and saw the benefits it could provide to our county, a place we love to live and want to raise our family. You helped us make this possible and we are truly grateful.
We also appreciate the members of the La Harpe City Council who took time out of their busy schedules to come and tour our facility prior to its completion. Hopefully, the tour answered all of your questions and eased your concerns.
Finally, we would like to remind everyone that the health and safety of our animals and the environment is of the utmost importance. Therefore, we maintain the highest standards of biosecurity at our farm. In order to maintain these standards, there are no visitors allowed inside the building site without permission and the proper procedures followed. Your cooperation in this matter is greatly appreciated.
Once again, we appreciate everyone who helped out with and supported the construction of Western Creek Farms. You were not only supporting our venture, you were also supporting the community of La Harpe, the economy of Hancock County, and the entire agriculture industry.
Sincerely
/s/ Andy and Melissa Johnson
